I have bad credit what should I do?
You are not alone; millions of people have trouble with their credit. We recommend that you obtain copies of your credit reports from all three of the credit bureaus to find exactly what is hurting your credit. How do I cancel my credit report subscription?
You can cancel your credit report subscription with Experian, (also known as ConsumerInfo or Credit Check) by emailing cancel@consumerinfo.com or calling 888-888-8553. You can cancel your subscription with TransUnion, (also known as TrueCredit or FreeCreditProfile) online at www.freecreditprofile.com/cancel or by calling 888-749-0731. You can cancel your subscription with Experian by email: cancel@consumerinfo.com or by calling 888-888-8553.
I forgot who provided my credit report, how do I contact them?
You can email us at cs@credit.com and we will be happy to provide you with this information. Don’t forget to provide us with the email address you used to apply for your credit report.
What should I do if I forgot my username and/or password?
You can retrieve your username and password by going to the login section for your credit report. Underneath the login boxes for your username and password there is link that asks “Forgot your username or password?” Simply click on that link and the computer will take you through the steps of getting your username and/or password.
The website does not recognize my username and password how I can re-access my information?
If the website does not recognize your username and/or password you should call the company for assistance. For Experian, ConsumerInfo or Credit Check call: 888-888-8553. For TransUnion, TrueCredit, FreeCreditProfile call, 888-749-0731.
What is my credit score?
You can request your credit scores by clicking here and applying for your credit reports and scores. This will provide you with online credit reports and scores from all of the three credit bureaus. What is a bad credit score?
The average score in US is approximately 680. Anything below a 680 is considered “sub-prime” and needs improvement. However, each of the three major credit bureaus records your score slightly differently. In general, the higher you credit score the better it is. Credit scores usually range from 300 to 850.
